Roses...what beauties! ;-)

I have to admit that I've become a bit of a rose addict!

I've never grown that many but now I'm becoming more and more

 in love with them!

This is Kew Rambler and I think it might just be my favourite rose in the garden

right now...or is it? ;-)

It is so difficult to choose!

This one, above, is Wedding Day.

It's rather lovely as it begins life with almost apricot coloured buds

which open to give creamy yellow blooms, turning to white.

It's so very fragrant.

I bought, 'New Dawn' recently and it is beautiful...

This one is my newest rose... enter...Giggles!!

It makes me laugh; it's so full of fun!

I do believe that Albertine (above) is a must for any garden. As is...

Golden Showers ...it just goes on and on..and on!

American Pillar seems to be weaving its way through the trees in our garden.

I just allow it to do its own thing, as they say!

Mortimer Sackler, I've just planted against a new fence..it's beautiful too.

This little rose I found in Asda...just crying out to be bought and nurtured!

I've no idea of its name.

If you have a favourite rose, then do comment! ;-)

  1. My mum used have Albertine, her father was called Albert. We have and mum had Handel which is a lovely pretty little rose. I love roses, and also have Rambling Rector, and Silver Jubilee which our friends bought us for our 25th wedding anniversary twelve years ago. I also have lots of red roses I purchase from Poundland. Not much perfume, but great for filling spaces.

  2. What a lovely collection you have. You certainly seem drawn to single roses, rather than the hybrid teas. We lived in the Australian countryside until a couple of years ago and had a New Dawn climbing over our chook pen. We also had a Wedding Day over our orchard fence. One other favourite growing on our our orchard fence was Zepherine Drouhin. It flowered for ages and best of all is thornless. I've seen another country garden with them growing as a mass planting over the fence of a tennis court. Just gorgeous. Thanks for sharing your favourites. They are nice and cheerful to see while we are in the dead of winter.
