Artist,exhibitionist..or both?

Contemporary Studies...or 'CS' as we called it...was part of my course,

when I was training to be a teacher.

This covered a vast array of topics and for this we had to produce a  piece of work about

anyone or anything. There were no rules at all.

And so, when Nich was rummaging through all my old photos, on Sunday,

 I suddenly heard him say:

'Mum, did you have a bit of a thing for David Bowie?''

Oooh, the things that come out of the closet!!!

And there, in his hand, was this:

'A bit of a thing?'

 I should say so! ;-)

I have to admit that I was Bowie mad!

I knew all the lyrics; acquired all of the music

on either LP (!) or cassette tape (!)

I was one of the lucky...(or privileged!) ones to

have seen Bowie, on his 1973 Aladdin Sane tour, in Southampton.

An evening that I will never, ever forget!

I even bought some shoes, just like these and cut my hair

'in the style of'  ;-)

There was so much talk at the time as to whether David Bowie was an artist

or whether he was an exhibitionist...

and so my piece of work was  born!

I looked at the date at the end of my work

Somewhat fitting really!

He's certainly stood the test of time...

40 years on and still going strong!

Sisters, sisters...and sisters!!

One of my favourite photos from my childhood is this!

Taken in about 1959/60 it shows three pairs of sisters.

My sister and myself are the middle pair. ( My sister being the blonde one)

On the left , as you look at the photo, are two sisters called

Marina and Christina Gibson.

On the right are two sisters called Hazel and Teresa Wright.

Don't you just love photos like this?!
