Enjoying looking more than buying..and a giveaway! ;-)

Yesterday, a visit to a local garden centre certainly

whet the old appetite for gardening!

And it was all very lovely..but oh my, the prices!!

I had my eye on this boat shaped arbour, last year...

it's still there!

These Hellebores were especially lovely.

As was this Acacia.

But I came home from here empty handed ....

sometimes you just have to enjoy looking more than buying!

Anyway , as spring is in the air, I thought it was about time for a giveaway!

Simply comment on this post, saying which is your favourite

garden plant in the spring garden.

That's it!

A lovely day ! ;-)

This is my daughter, Helen with her husband , Ben and their

beautiful daughter, Megan Amber.

We were invited over to the east of the county, yesterday morning, to see them

and also to introduce Meg to her Uncle Nich....

Only 11 days old !

We said our goodbyes and left the three of them to have a peaceful day .

We drove back to Topsham, for lunch and a wander around.

The sun was out and the day was glorious.

Lunch here was very pleasant...

And spring is definitely in the air.

Down by the quay, Topsham has a lovely Antiques Centre .

I didn't buy anything from this bookshelf but when I got home,

there on my doormat, was a Persephone book which I had ordered

from Amazon Marketplace...

'High Wages' by Dorothy Whipple.

So that's my reading for the week!
