Scrummy vintage fabrics and a lazy day!

Amazingly, we've having a lazy Saturday at home!

This is rare !

We did get to Totnes yesterday and we met up with some friends ..but I'm going to let them blog about that!

So... I've turned my attention to my vintage fabrics... and also I'm having a bit of a play on my MacBook...because I am still learning!

I've been sorting all through my vintage fabrics after the very successful V&H Textile Fair.

I'm adding to these almost every day and, now and again, I love to put them all together... and imagine ...

Buy the lot (!) and you could make a patchwork quilt like this...

or this...

or this...

this...
Scrummy!
And recently,a very nice lady let me look at her vintage fabric stash and...
choose!!!!
My chosen ones will be flying this way very soon!

I hope you are having a very happy Saturday and if it is as lazy as mine ...then well done!

Nostalgia...

There's a very historical feel to Shepton Mallet !

The BBC are filming in the town , resulting in all sorts of interesting goings ons!

But we didn't go there to take part in any of that.

Oh no!

Our route to Chipping Sodbury just happened to be a different one this time and we soon found

ourselves here:

You can't miss this delightful little shop , situated in the Market Square!

And if the outside is enticing....

...the inside is a dream.

This is Niki's shop .

Niki has the blog 'Nostalgia at the Stonehouse', which many of you, no doubt, read.

Here are a few snippets of what's on offer.

I'm so glad that we managed to get there before closing time!

The Exeter Festival Craft Fair

On the way to Chipping Sodbury , on Friday, we stopped off at Exeter to look at the Exeter Festival Craft Fair.
This takes place on the Cathedral Green.

There's just one thing wrong with this fair...there's never enough vintage! Never!
In the picture on my header , representing 'vintage', is the lovely Amanda Critchlow.
Those of you who attended the V&H Fair in May might remember
Amanda as she was there with her stall, 'Vintage Inspiration'.

I met her a few years ago at Exeter and she sews the loveliest things!

Amanda was the star of the fair for me.

I wandered around whilst Mr S went off to the Apple store!

Here are a few snippets of what was on offer.

Lunch on the cathedral green was much enjoyed and then we had to fly...we had a date with Shepton Mallet and I knew that within an hour or so, I most certainly would get my fill of vintage..which I will share with you tomorrow!!
