T'is jolly junk for happy homes!!

On our way to Exeter Quay (header pic) today, we stopped off at the most wonderful 'quite good junk' shop, which Joe had mentioned on her blog, recently.
We wandered down Fore Street , Exeter , where a number of fascinating ' non clone ' shops can be found.

I love poking around junk, don't you?
And this was very nice junk!

You'll find a bit of everything here...retro, 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, atomic, vintage, Bauhaus, Panton, Eames, Deco, Utility, Ercol, G-Plan etc etc
I thought the prices were reasonable too.
I had my eye on this...a kitchen stool/steps...

As you can see, I sat on this drum, for a rest... and to savour the flavour!!
LOL ;-)

Here's the link to their website and it's worth visiting as you'll get a better tour than I gave you, with their youtube videos .

My garden and my 'quiet place' ;-)

In my garden today, I seem to be mostly growing...

Celandine!

And..

I have a lot to do....so no more crafting for a while as I need to be here...!

Having said that, this morning I quickly knocked up some very basic bunting, to pretty up the 'quiet place' outside my teaching room, where I can rest, if needs be !

I had some scraps left over!

Just the place for a cuppa and a read.

And one needs fine things when one rests, doesn't one?!

Hope your weekend is a good one!

Gladdens your heart and sweetens your soul! ;-)

What a beautiful day it is today!

A perfect time to sit down with a cuppa and re introduce oneself to a few gardening books!
I have a few ...

But give me a pretty cover and I drool.
These are gorgeous...
The oldies are the best!
I have always loved the cover of this book...
And inside is pretty good too!
And as for this...
So simple!
Gardening loveliness!

Don't you just love it!

And now it is time to get into my greenhouse and try to produce something like this :
Have fun in your garden!
And don't forget...
Gardening gladdens the heart and sweetens the soul!
